About Beat Maker
A little music studio for kids. Tap the coloured squares to place notes on a grid — across is time, up and down is high and low — then press Play and your pattern loops around and around. Change it while it plays, speed it up or slow it down, pick a soft, smooth or retro sound, or tap Surprise for an instant tune. The clever part: the notes are a pentatonic scale, the same one used in lullabies and folk songs all over the world, so there are no wrong notes — whatever your child taps sounds lovely together.
