Color Match helps little ones learn their colors through happy, tappable characters. A prompt asks for a color — tap the smiling friend wearing it and they cheer with a shower of sparkles. Pick a different one and they just give a playful wiggle, so there is never a wrong-answer sting. Simple, bright, and endlessly encouraging, it is a perfect first color game for toddlers and preschoolers.

How to Play

• Read the color in the question (it is shown in that color).
• Tap the character wearing that color.
• Right one? Sparkles and cheers! Wrong one? A gentle wiggle, try again.
• Keep going — a new color comes every time.

Tips & Tricks

• Say the color name out loud together as you tap.
• There is no penalty — tapping the wrong one just wiggles.
• Great for learning red, blue, green, yellow, purple and orange.

What Kids Learn

Color Match teaches the names of colours, one of the first sets of words a toddler learns. The question names a colour and shows the word in that colour, so a child connects the sound of "red" with what red looks like, and over time with the written word too.

Tapping the right character also asks a small child to listen, hold the instruction in mind and look across several choices before acting. A wrong tap gets a playful wiggle instead of a buzzer, so children keep trying instead of giving up.

What Age Is Color Match For?

Made for ages 3 to 5, and suitable from about two with a parent. By four most children know the main colours and enjoy getting every one right. Once colours are easy, Shape Match and Big and Small are the natural next steps.

Tips for Parents

Say the colour name together before they tap. Toddlers learn words by hearing them used, not by being tested.

Afterwards, ask them to find something that colour in the room. Linking the game to real objects is what makes the word stick.

If they mix up two colours, such as purple and blue, play a few rounds and only name those two.

Try It Without a Screen

• Sort a handful of Lego bricks or crayons into piles by colour.
• Play "I spy something red" during a walk.
• Hand them coloured socks from the laundry and ask them to find the matching pairs.
