About Word Grid

Word Grid hides one word and gives you six guesses to find it. After each try every letter turns green with a check if it's in the right spot, yellow with a dot if it's in the word somewhere else, or grey with a slash if it isn't. The 120 words climb from four letters to five to six, so it grows with your child. A hint bulb is there when they're stuck, and a miss just shows the word and offers a fresh one. Nothing is timed.

How to Play

• Type or tap a real word and press Enter.
• Green with a check means right letter, right spot.
• Yellow with a dot means the letter is in the word but elsewhere.
• Grey with a slash means it isn't in the word. You have six tries.

• Start with a word that uses common letters.
• Use the keyboard colours to rule letters out.
• A hint reveals one letter; each word allows two.
