About How Do They Feel?

Three faces, and one word: happy, sad, cross, surprised, sleepy or silly. Which face feels that way? Each face is drawn so the eyebrows, eyes and mouth all change together — the way a real face works — so a child learns to read the whole expression rather than just look for a smile. No timer and nothing to lose.

How to Play

  • Read (or listen to) the feeling in the question.
  • Look at the three faces.
  • Tap the one that feels that way.

Tips & Tricks

  • Try making the face yourself and see how your eyebrows move.
  • Talk about a time your child felt that way.
  • Cross and sad look different around the eyebrows — that's the clue.

What Kids Learn

How Do They Feel? is more than fun — it helps build real skills:

  • Naming feelings
  • Reading a whole facial expression
  • Early social-emotional vocabulary
