About Melody Tap

Seven tunes everybody knows — Hot Cross Buns, Mary Had a Little Lamb, Twinkle Twinkle, Frere Jacques and more — fall down four lanes. Tap a lane as its note reaches the line and that note sounds: play them all in time and you have played the song. The lanes are laid out by pitch, so high notes really are on the right, and the timing is deliberately forgiving. Each tune is a little faster than the last, but no two notes ever arrive closer than a third of a second.

How to Play

• Watch the coloured notes fall down the four lanes.
• Tap a lane just as its note touches the line.
• Every note you hit plays out loud — that's the tune.
• Keep a streak going for bonus points.

Tips & Tricks

• Listen as much as you look — the tune tells you when the next note lands.
• Hitting slightly early or late still counts; being in the right lane matters more.
• Sing along, then try the next song up.
